Campaign

The Municipal Institute of Women presents its campaign against street sexual harassment "Social distancing is a way to prevent street harassment", whose objective is to raise awareness about this topic.

According to the most recent research on street harassment prepared by the Municipal Institute of Women, 90% of the women surveyed consider that catcalling,  unwanted comments, gestures, and actions forced on a stranger in a public place without their consent are manifestations of street harassment and disagree with those practices.

Great leaps in our culture sometimes take small steps. Respecting the boundaries of personal space is also social distancing. Let’s build a new normality where women are safer on our streets.
